Spirit 41

The Spirit 41 is a seaworthy cruising yacht designed by Jac. de Ridder and built by boatyard A.J. Van Heygen in Boom

(Belgium), CE design category A. « Tashi Delek » (2000) offers a warm teak interior with three cabins, a spacious cockpit

and a Volvo Penta engine with saildrive. Substantial investments were made in recent years: new mainsail (2018), Rocna

anchor with windlass (2021), new switch panel (2021), chartplotters and VHF (2024) and in 2026 a new battery charger,

water hoses and taps. The owner has sailed her to Brest, London and Texel, among other destinations.

Engine & drive

• Volvo Penta MD22L (2000), 4-cylinder diesel, 50 hp, saildrive

• Serviced annually by the owner

• 2024: saildrive rubber replaced

• 2022: new raw-water pump

• 2020: timing belt replaced

• 2019: engine room ventilator (reduces odour in the boat)

• 2018: Flexofold 3-blade 18" folding propeller; spare: fixed aluminium 2-blade propeller

• 2015: double diesel pre-filter

• Fuel 180 l: 120 l main tank with level monitor + 60 l tank

Electrical installation

• Starter battery 105 Ah and 2 × 105 Ah service batteries (210 Ah, approx. 2021)

• 2026: Victron battery charger replaced; Philippi battery monitor

• 2021: new Philippi switch panel

• Charging via engine and shore power, automatic changeover via relays

• Shore power inlets forward and aft

Navigation & electronics

• 2024: two Raymarine chartplotters and new VHF with outside controls

• 2021: new Fusion radio with speaker in the cockpit

• Raymarine ST60 instruments: log/speed, depth and wind

• 2015: AIS transmitter and receiver

• 2015: radar pole, folds down onto the cockpit seat

Rig & sails

• 2018: tri-radial mainsail Fibercon Pro

• Jib in good condition 

• Masthead rig with three spreader levels, baby stay and running backstays

• Spinnaker pole on board; extra jib included (hardly ever used)

Deck & cockpit

• 2023: cockpit teak renewed

• Helm station renewed, with custom stainless steel instrument housing; 2018: wheel cover

• 2021: Rocna 20 kg anchor with 50 m chain and windlass

• 2020: double German mainsheet system

• 2017: new Jefa rudder bearing

• Lewmar winches: 54 (genoa), 40 (mainsail) and 44 (companionway)

• Sprayhood and cockpit shower

Layout & interior

• Teak interior with saloon, fold-out ‘diamant’ teak table and blue settees

• L-shaped galley to port: double sink, two-burner gas cooker with oven, fridge

• Navigation corner to starboard

• Double forward cabin and double aft cabin

• Heads with washbasin and manual toilet

• Small aft space, used as storage

Comfort & equipment

• 2026: inspection hatches made in the tanks, all water hoses and taps renewed

• 2022: water heater fully descaled

• Webasto Air Top 3500 heating with four warm-air outlets

• Zodiac tender with Yamaha 4 hp outboard; Seago liferaft for 4 persons
