Standfast 30 (1976) - "Ulysse"

This classic Standfast 30, designed by Frans Maas and built by Everse in Yerseke, is a fast, sturdy and remarkably seaworthy Dutch cruiser-racer. "Ulysse" is in exceptional condition: professionally maintained every year for decades, always stored under cover in winter, with full history and all logbooks present. She lies in Breskens (Netherlands) and can be viewed by appointment.

Recent investment: in 2022 all through-hull fittings (TruDesign) and the complete electrical installation, navigation and electronics were renewed; in 2024 a new stainless-steel prop shaft, Gori two-blade folding propeller and a spray hood with stainless frame; and in 2026 a complete deck refit in two-component epoxy with all hardware re-bedded.

Engine & drive: Craftsman Marine CM2.16 (Mitsubishi-based) 2-cylinder diesel, 16 hp, professionally installed in 2012 and serviced annually. Indirect cooling, engine display, shaft drive with 2024 Gori folding propeller and Vetus flexible engine mounts. +/- 375 engine hours

Electrical (renewed 2022): Victron Blue Smart IP22 charger, Victron BMV-702 battery monitor, Mastervolt AGM 130 Ah service battery, separate charging and shore power, central LED lighting, 2x USB and radio/CD.

Navigation & electronics (renewed 2022): Garmin GMI wired instruments with two displays, gWind wind, GMI 20 display and DST810 log/depth, Standard Horizon GX1850E VHF with DSC/GPS, Glomex VHF/FM/AM/AIS splitter, twin Plastimo compasses and a 2026 Aqua Signal AS34 tricolour/anchor light.

Rig & sails: sloop rig with aluminium Proctor mast, boom and spinnaker pole, backstay tensioner and Barient 22-39 ST self-tailing genoa winches. Mainsail (2008, 2 reefs, 4 battens), furling genoa (2022, Facnor LS130 furler), genoa I and III (2012), working jib, storm jib and spinnaker.

Accommodation: warm vintage interior (cushions re-upholstered 2015), saloon with removable table and two 2 m berths, generous chart table, two quarter berths, fore cabin with sail stowage and 100 L water tank, RM69 manual heads, galley with 2-burner ENO gas cooker, sink with foot pump. Open, self-draining cockpit with teak; Danforth anchor with new rode (2020).
